The Goodtime Seniors' Dance Club have a dance every Tuesday evening from 7:30pm to 10:00pm at the Truro Legion on Brunswick Street.  Admission is $10, 50/50 tickets. A 5-piece band playing waltzes, fox trots, polkas, jives, waltz quadrilles and country/modern singing.  No canteen service available but you can bring your own water. North River & District Fire Brigade 7th Annual Stuff-A-Truck Event on Saturday, Dec 6th from 10am - 4pm.  Looking for donations of food, clothing, toys, & cash, Last year they supported 5 families for Christmas holidays this year they are hoping to help 6 families and make the holidays less stressful.  Stop by Fundy Scoops 309 Highway 311 , North River. Donate if you can and say Hello to Santa and help some families have a brighter Holiday.

Kemptown Community Hall Crib Tournament will take place on Saturday, December 6th at 59 Loop, Old Hwy 4 at 12 noon with registration opening at 11am.  The cost is $20 per person.  Come and bring a partner.   Building jackpot, $5 high hand (optional)

Christmas Market on Sunday, December 7th at the Caribou District Fire Department, 512 Three Brooks Road, Pictou from 12 noon to 3pm. Many, many vendors some thing for everyone. Great chance to start your shopping or finish. Local 4H club will have chili and a roll for sale. Admission is a donation. Also accepting food bank donations and/or Backpack donations for the local schools. Come and enjoy

For the Love of Lucas – Breakfast with Santa on Sunday, December 14th from 9am to 12 noon at the Hilden Firehall, 1414 Hwy 2, Hilden.  $10 for adults, $5 for kids 10 and under.  Pictures with Santa $5 (digital print sent by email).  50/50 draw and gift basket raffle. No tickets necessary, cash only at the door.

Millbrook Cultural & Heritage Centre Craft Fair will be held on Sunday, December 14 with over 30 local vendors.  The craft fair will run from 10-3pm and are asking for a food bank donation as an entrance fee (all donations going to Truro Food Bank)
